i think the song is mainly written to themselves as brothers and as a band. I love how it it starts off as "all he needs is his life in a suitcase" but toward the end switches to"all we need is our lives in a suitcase. "they belong to a friend of a friend" hints that they're on the road so much they have nothing to call their own. "and as we drink to ourselves we'll amuse ourselves", all they have is eachother. "underneath the sky again" is an ode to the road... rhyme not intended hehe
