This song is freaking awesome! It's catchy and it's got a great feel. I believe the song conveys that he has come to love this girl so much for being patient with him. He said "Took my sweet time when i was bitter" so he was bitter about something and she was still carefree and loving to him, and usually he is a fighter and sees some of the darker things but she brought love and light to him and so he loves her even more for opening up this happiness to him. I think its beautiful, he just loves her free open personailty.
and in the first verse hes talking about how easily fooled everyone is by people who tell you they care and pretend to give a damn all of the time but really they dont and the ones that stick around through everything are all worth the wait, and ahhhh. yeah amazing1
