I found this song (and the lyrics) a little bit confusing, because Vehemence has some anti-religious lyrics spread all around their albums.
But in this one, in the aftermath of "You don't have to be afraid anymore" you see the character finally reaching for that peace, speaking to a somewhat higher power, the end of the story. But then the last line prompts a flashback to the beginning.
