I think this song is about AIDS. He says that he's spent his whole life trying to fuck the loneliness away... he's engaged in sexual activity with tons of random people because he feels he is lonely inside and that is the only way to fill the void. But somewhere along the lines, he contracts HIV, and continues to be sexually active, spreading the virus. This is what I think the line "think of all the people that i've damaged" is in regards to.
After all this, he never ends up filling the void, and only makes his and other peoples' lives worse. Therefore his life has been wasted.
