Fantastic song, even without a message. One lyric correction, s/b "if I was born a believer, unbelieving."
My thought is that it could be about MLK, Jr. or Jesus, JFK (King of Camelot), etc. "The jury couldn't win" means that even convicting the assassin doesn't make things whole, and there is nothing left but to "close the coffin door."
"A believer, unbelieving" describes my own feeling when Acquino was assassinated in the Phillipines stepping of a plane in 1983, Sadat in Egypt as he watched a parade in 1981, Bhutto was assassinated, just last year. Many more attempts, those were just the successful ones. I couldn't believe it when all those happened, it was shocking to me ("unbelieving").
I also like Sour's take, that the song is about issues as "King" personified by an individual that would "fall again." Totally makes sense. Anyway, great band and great song.
