To say that this is their best records, hand down, is a little naive. Unless you've only been listening since the Sunlandic Twins, that is a pretty ridiculous statement -- Gay Parade? Coquelicot? Cherry Peel? You could even Satanic Panic is better. But I'll agree this is their best in years.

Idk I love Gay Parade and Cherry Peel, Skeletal Lamping is my favorite at the moment though. I don't think Satanic Panic or Coquelicot are better, but that's just my pinion. Skeletal is just so funky fresh and fun, very few weak spots, hooks from beginning to end, like just within the first ten seconds of Nonpareil of Wisdom. Really cohesive too, but so varied it's great for playing all the way through again and again. What other modern bands have lyrics like "We can do it softcore if you want, But you should know I take it both ways"?...

I agree that this is their best record. HANDS DOWN. No arguments. No Ifs Ands or Buts.
I love their melody changes that happen so many times on this album.
And you can hear the songs even foreshadowing each other.
I think in this one it gives you a taste of Plastis Wafers which is later on the album. Or it might be the track before this.
