So, in the eyes of a recovering addict (or recovered, I'd say), if you believe it, but don't feel it, imagine how that could be. I don't think this is a current thought process though. I think it's just old jaded feelings of.... "well, why has only so much changed?" It's a weird place between faith and doubt, so I don't think this takes a side. I think it is, simply put, a question.

It leaves me to decipher what I'm thinking & feeling, wondering if it's God or just "in my head." I also do not think Dave is disavowing God, but rather is expressing frustration at the downward spiral in & around many of us.
