I think the B-52s are acting out different characters you might see in the mall, like crazed shoppers ("my wallet's on fire", "i'm a pleasure seeker"), crotchety old people ("the world's going to hell"), grumpy/rude waitresses ("here's your stupid 7-up"), and.....security personnel? i don't know what the whole "private property! hippie, be quiet!" thing was about. anyway. that's my take.
