"i don't really miss God but i sure miss Santa Claus" is one of my favorite lines ever. it's brilliant.
i'm an atheist now, but i used to be a christian, but now that i think of my younger years, i feel like i really do miss believing in santa way more than believing in god. i feel that santa is a good metaphor for the innocence of childhood whereas god is a metaphor for living in denial.
I thought that line is aimed at the people she's mocking as 'gutless'? - that they're insubstantial, of surface, material values rather than genuine or having integrity - I could be wrong; just how I'd interpreted it ;)

@Yvaine I totally agree! That line has always stood out to me.
