So, I love this song. But I've also got questions.
It seems he was with this girl who hurt him and he broke things off. Months later he finds out from her mother that she died. He has regrets that he had not forgiven her before she was gone.
I think I get the whole thing until the end. What is the bit about the firemen and the kids? How does this relate to the rest of the story. Was she killed in the fire? Why fire in the CAR ALARM? What dies that mean? Any ideas?
BTW, I'm pretty sure it's "Do you even know that you're GONE" (not GOING)
