In today's day of Facebook and MySpace...I know stuff like the last stanza happens to me all of the time.

I watch that pretty life play out in pictures from afar.
Cuz you can "watch [your ex's] life play in pictures from afar [like at a different college or city]" pretty easily if you at least tried to stay friends after a break-up...or if your ex is a high profile celebrity like JEssica Simpson who's always in the tabloids.
