One of my favorite Ozzy songs, just because of the guitar...

I think that this song is about a guy who does cocaine with his friends. He reads in a newspaper that one of his friends dies in the first verse, probably killed by his dealer who he didn't pay. The friend reading the paper doesn't really care because all he needs is the drugs (as seen in the bridge).

The second verse is about seeing drug abuse from the children around him, for this he cares but does nothing. He says that they will just be another face on the front of the paper.

Finally the song ends by him overdosing, which it is iinferring that he is going to die. After this verse there is no bridge. Meaning that since the drugs are killing/effecting his well being, now he cares.

The song is called Perry Mason, because Perry is a fictional character (attorney) seen on t.v (the white knight). People hear about drug abuse on the television all the time, but nobody actually cares until it effects them. The song is about the harsh effects of drug abuse. Who will we call? "Perry Mason" the fictional character who is supposed to make all of these terrible things go away.

@shadows0320 this is the only interpretation that makes sense. Kudos.
