the name of the song's called "make it better," not "we can make it better." i've loved this song and this band for years, who woulda thought something like this could've come from YARDLEY, haha.
but yeah, this song is, in my opinion, is about trying to reconcile with a parent who they either never spent time with as a child, or just doesn't get along with them. regardless, i don't this parent wants him to make music for a living. here, i'll prove my point.
