I'd like to spin the song romantically and say it's about a relationship, haha, I just love it. It's so catchy and really has a lot of feeling to it in my opinion!
Guess there can't be any doubt that it's about the band...though really I'd say it's possible to apply the song to fit any situation where you're in a tight spot and you have another person or other people whom you really need to believe in you and back you up.
I think in a way it sounds so desperate and naïve and determined, and maybe that's why it makes me get goosebumps every time :D Powerful and wonderful!
