Whose point of view do you think the song is being sung from?
I'm thinking it's definitely Jim's based on the chorus and the general feeling of resentment toward Caroline.
It's "Jim"s song in the play - but it's also Lou venting about Nico who obviously had really gone down in his estimation since their brief affair.
