this song is about the story of julius caesar and his assassination by marcus brutus and the 8 other conspirators. Brutus was a roman senator and one of caesars closest friends but he is convinced into thinking that if caesar becomes the sole dictator of rome that he will be corrupted by power and become a tyrant (at this time, the roman empire was ruled by many men). thus, he kills caesar not because he hates him but for the good for the roman empire (he beleives). Legend has it that when caesar saw brutus stab him, it broke his heart emotionally and died because of a broken heart. After a shitload of twists and turns, brutus then commits suicide in a battle between him, another conspirator and 2 of caesars followers after seeing his best friend fall in battle.

That kind of makes sense, but I'm not sure. It seems more like it's about someone who was betrayed, lived, and sought revenge, but none of the Greek myths I know of fit that.

i guess it kinda makes sense but it doesnt seemin like something alesana would write about...

Chelsea this is a band who wrote Nerco's Decay, The Third Temptation of Paris, and Icarus... All revolve around Rome.
