This song reminds me of Vixen's love songs back in the 80-90's. I think the lyrics are about a relationship where the girl is in love and the guy tries to believe that he is even though he isn't. He cares about her a lot but there is no passion in his feelings and now she is ready to give up because she knows she won't ever be able to make him love her.
She realizes things are the way they are ("I can't change the color of my eyes") and you can't force somene to change his feelings.
