I think this song is in reference to someone who has strayed far from where he thought he was going, and as he looks at the life that he's currently leading he realizes that it's nothing more than destruction and ruin. He says that he'll destroy the life he's created, and he'll start again.
The second paragraph:

These are not the plans i made. This is not the life i wanted" is stating that where he is is still far from where he's been, but if given the chance, he'll still be able to make it back to his home, or back to his life before it was ruined

The "blood stained glasses" could be symbolism for any number of things, but I take it as something that he sees that was ruined from his destructive life, and by seeing it he notices that he needs to be saved from where he is, not just run from it.
