as much as i'd like to think this song is about a girl or war, I feel as though it is a big screw you to any doubters, be it record labels or friends "with our instruments broken before us" is like somebody is trying to silence them, but "with smiles on both our faces we spit their faulty ammo to the ground" could be the verbal assaults they received from friends, other bands, and record labels. Also giving me the thought of this is the second line of the song.
