i would never have realized this if i hadn't been listening to erykah badu's "mama's gun" and outkast's "aquemini" at the same time for a whole a week, but dre's line about "the gypsy" hitting him to "some life game" is about erykah badu. she answers back and affirms her identity as the gypsy in her song "...& On". i was like "oh shit!" when i made the connection. i knew that they had been together and had a child, but it was still kind of cool to see them referencing each other :o)
