Yeah i agree.
Its deffinately about them being in high school, i think they felt like everyone else knew what they wanted to.. and it was realistic. But they were chasing the dream of being in a band, and nobody believed in them. So they started wasting their potential.
I think they also sing about not fitting in. They didnt live because they never enjoyed their time, because people probably didnt accept them.. and they never went out on "saturday" night etc.. cos they were so unpopular.
