Just from reading it, my idea of the message is you gotta do the best you can with life. Relating that to "go big or go home" instead "Destroy all or nothing".

I also was thinking that in the song he talks about dieing and going to heaven and god would be the logically correct person who could be saying good job, which would make me think he is conveying the message of do your best at life and you go to heaven, just a thought.
