It's about two people who live in an Apartment, and the guy (from the guy's perspective) is broke, the woman has the job, has the money. They barely get by. He wanted to help her, but ended up loosing his job or whatever income he had, so she ended up helping him instead. She grows reluctant and pushes him away, that is where this sad story ends.
If it's about his dad (which im not doubting), why does he deviate from the normal "D" and say "F" "for floors"? Maybe the F stands for something else? Like failure?
