But since there are no comments on here I thought I'd like to put my opinion up for a change.
This one seems pretty obvious though,
so that's why I'm gonna go ahead and take a chance,
and actually post what I think it means.
I think this song is about him being in a long distance relationship and is being told not to. Depressing. D:
I think that maybe these lines:

Cut your losses and say goodbye,
remove the stake."
and

So say goodbye."
May be quotes from people he knows,
telling him to break up with whoever he's with. o_o
And he's not going to because those people don't know their love.
