again and again, I can feel so much emotion on it...it's like he is crying while he is singing those lines.
Whenever I listen to that part, I feel like I was telling it to someone who is now far from me, and sometimes like someone is going to left me, and I'm telling please wait for me and don't leve me here all "alone".

I used to think he was asking someone if they would still be there if he messes stuff up in life. But after listening to it over and over, I started wondering if it's somewhat selfish to ask this great love of your life to wait and settle and go through the strife he got himself into. I think in true love, you don't have to ask that and the other person will be there without...

So I now think that he's talking to someone he might not have met yet. After personally going though a difficult time in my own life, I know I'm not in the state of being that I would like to be or how I used to be. Although I'm working on it, when the song says, "if i cant be all that i can be", "please wait for me", it makes me think how I feel. Like i'm asking this future person who I have yet to meet to wait for me till I get it together and can be all that I can be. Atleast those are my thoughts.
