I think this song is about not letting life's hardships paralyze you with depression. That you could make up your own mind to rise above whatever you're going through. "‘Cause there’s no one to blame;
You got no place to hide; It’s only in your mind." No matter what, everyone is going to experience "sorrow", and it's up to you to keep moving forward despite these obstacles, because time won't wait for you. Basically it's saying don't let life pass you by, and to keep living your life no matter what and eventually you will experience happiness again. This is what it means to me, because I deal a lot with depression. I love this song, it is so inspirational to me :)
