I found this song really encouraging. The only Friend that can "stick it out" and is there when the night falls is Christ. The only One who will never let you down. Humans do, and that's ok. Haven't we all.
And it's hopeful, and is about new beginnings...forgiveness and restoration and moving on from the past and the inetivable hurts of life that try to cripple and bind us and into the new seasons...spring and summer, which are spoken of in the last part of his song.
And Christ is brilliant, because he not only sticks it out but is the one who heals us and works things out better than they would have been if there never had been any hurt. He is the "wind at our backs" encouraging me to "come on from all that."
