Only five comments? Wow. This song rocks. I don't think she's angry with herself. I think she's happy with her decision to walk away ("I want nothing more to do with all the things you made me think I am."). And the way she sings "didn't I" is almost like she's proud of her decision. I do agree that she's describing
'throwing caution to the wind', but she suggests doing this with the other person involved who hurt her because she's angry and doesn't care what might happen to them. This song following "Where I Stood" on the album only confirms my suspicion that she might be talking about some type of abusive relationship that was hard to walk away from.. doubted herself in the beginning.. but "learned to trust herself" in the end because she made the right decision. I don't know.. may be a stretch..
