He told her she was leaving him and he goes insane and kills her new boyfriend (Who I think with clues in "The Wreckage" is supposed to be his best friend)
I love how at the end
"I barely see the signs
I brake too late
My world comes crashing
Crashing down"
And that brings you into The Wreckage, during the intro you hear the sounds of water which tells you they crashed into a lake or something of that nature
