The lyrics perfectly (and accurately) encapsulate the feeling of euphoric love ("we're smiling for no reason", "even things that are wrong about you/ make my will too strong to doubt you"). And that's not to say the emotions are disingenuous; rather, that love can be a fleeting thing (as Graham said in an interview the album was written about a girl he was in love with, but it didn't work)
