There seems to be a lot of melancholy in this song. To me it refers to a couple, together for some time, perhaps one is going through a typical mid-life crisis, reminiscing about their past together (simplicity, adventure, fantacy, etc.) and the realisation of perhaps not having failed to leave a legacy behind...This is brillaint : "I want to be someone...Who someone would want to be". Make any sense?
