This song is awesome...as always.

To me, this song is about an individual who has come to a realization that they are their own best friend and they must remember it is only themself whom they can trust and rely upon in this world. The lyrics may also be implying he doesn't need to rely upon God or any faith to journey through life.

The "ashes" symbolising the consequences, losses, and the remains of every bridge he probably ever burnt.

"In dark moments,I know better, Within destruction, I see clearly" He finds that when he is in touch with his problems and emersed in his emotions he gains greater clarity and insight.

"From here to new grounds, Suppose I'll be doing it alone," He'll trasnfomr form his essence and entity from the darkness that has consumed him to "new grounds" for a fresh start and to renew his persona.

"With a smile through black design, Fearless of your conviction" I'm not really sure what the first line means, maybe he'll go forth on his own, with positivity that was created through his 'darkness', not fearing the judegment and prosecution he may face by others, even God.

"Staring into truth, I am the highway, Existence care for me, In all your everlasting complications" He can see the direction in his life, which he must take to undergo trasnformation, rgardless of whatever obstacles life may throw at him towards his journey to "new ground", it only confirms his existsnce in this world.

"Forget the promised land, There was never an invitation, Today I create my own, Before there was sorrow and lack of attention" He was consumed in his darkness when hoping for God or others to help him move towards the light. But now he realises that it is him and him alone that controls his own happiness and paradise in this life, and thus instead of waiting for God or anyone else to lay it out for him, he takes initiate to create his own sense of purpose and direction in life.
