i love this song. i think it's about someone who has friend that has serious issues but aviods them at all costs, like by using drugs. and the person is sick watching their friend dig themselves deeper in the hole, and tries to help them fix things, then opens his eyes to thats who his friend is and it's always going to be the same old story so they walk away.
