Mesmerizing, simply stunning!!! If you're into occult, evil-obsessed black metal that leans heavily on darkly poetic lyrics, then I strongly recommend Emperor.
I just love the way the song starts off so rapidly, and gets slower as it progresses. My favorite part is the middle, where the keyboards and the choir kick in. It's just makes for such an eerie, spectral effect on the song!
The lyrics are simply about black wizards who live in Satan's image, preach his word, and summon his dark magic to wreak havoc upon mankind. Then at the end, The Emperor (Satan), makes his claim that these practioners of black magic are simply human puppets, and that he channels his essence through them at his will and command.
Altogether, this is just a great song overall, and a must have for anyone wishing to explore the darkest realms of true extreme metal (as opposed to the nu-metal/metalcore crap [this is a general statement as not all of the songs in the previously mentioned genres suck] that is popular with today's "metal" crowd) should consider looking into.
