To me, the song is about a guy in love with a woman that's been through a lot and has a really fragile heart that she's afraid to take a chance with.
Porcelain face makes me think of a girl that's really emotional and could easily break down, maybe. Heart of glass I take to mean her fragile heart that has been broken before. The pale paintings and fading eyes is what gives me the impression she's been put through a lot. "Nothing to give with everything you take" sounds like she's letting his love in but not able to return it.
The part about moving at lightspeed but nothing changing sounds like they're falling incredibly fast for each other but nothing's changing because she won't allow it. And him praying she loses her way is him praying she'll take a chance and let herself get lost in them together.
Then again, there are parts in the song that make it sound like a woman that's unfaith to him. But I'm finding more to back up the original meaning I've derived from the song.
