one of my favs. on wanderlust.

the guitar riff is almost a direct ripoff of institute's 'information age'. take a listen.

sounds like a love song, but i see it differently. after gavin wrote this album, he presented the demos to the original members of bush. they turned it down saying it wasnt very bush-esque.

i think gavin may of written this song after that. he's saying wether it be with bush, institute, or just by himself, happiness is making music.

"this is happiness dig yourself right back out never thought it would come to this "

he just never thought it would come down to him doing it solo.

"never thought we'd get so far down"

he never thought he would get so distanced from bush that his sound wasnt bush enough anymore.

"that was my favorite new york you are the sea so i dive in you yeah "

shot in the dark, but maybe New York symbolizes fame. his favorite fame came from bush. so he wanted to dive back into bush.

"last time i felt this good she was the fire i was the wood i love your mouth i love all your breath"

last time he felt this good, he was in bush. the following lines all confirm this as they are all plays on previous bush lyrics. (Land of the Living, Mouth, Machinehead)

"you make me so much better i hope i don't make you worse i'll meet you somewhere in there if you get there first where have you been where have you been where have you been "

simply put. a message to bush.

"outta my mind again outta my face again outta my head again outta this world again outta the place i'm in outta the state i'm in outta the car i'm in outta the skin i'm in outta my mind again"

another bush play on things. "Out of this world"
