see, i agree with the idea that it takes place at the beginning of school or w/e, but i think the person longs for the weekends/bleackdays so they can get away from the people because they miss what happend over the summer, and now that things are back to school, everything's the same again. it sounds like something happend over the summer that was out of his control (what i feel it's not important), so that's how i interpreted it.
