It's about unrequited love, but when it gets so so painful, it's hard to cope anymore. It's a love thats incredibly destructive and shameful to the person - 'Love is killing me'. Also, as the person kept clinging onto the hope that the love would be returned, she's almost is breaking her own heart, cause she clings to false hope, and it hurts.
The 'Save Me' verses are just a cry out, to anyone for someone to just save them. Self-explanatory really.
I love the pain, hurt and desperation in this song, it portrays the emotions beautifully. Definitely my favourite.
