But as Kalmah has had some folk tradition influensing their lyrics, i just could say one thing.
Animals used to be seen as more than just animals before the age of education kicked in. Some animals were dead humans. And some had different spirits in them. Don't know of burbot, if there are some folk tradition beliefs of that animal, but there are many exsamples.
So it maeby is about some folklore about burbot. It is quite unique fish so it most likely has had some beliefs about it.
Such "lore" can be quite localized too. I don't remember anything about burbots.
