He's listing in the chorus he talks about 2 thing - Items (Money), and girls. which is what a lot of rappers in the industry do, but within the verses he breaks it down to what 'he thinks is cool' but more so just what he likes. He's giving you a taste of the real person, because to be quite frank, It would bother to me listening to a person so deep and intricate as Lupe, but not know anything about the person behind the rhetorical devices. Opens up the listener to his world and gives them a bit of education at the end ;)
