The first verse throws me off, but I'd have to agree with Lisa - it probably refers to someone after a one-night stand. It also hints at an anxious or nervous feeling, which has a tendency to cause sweating. Shortly after, a "blistering headache makes me wanna quit" - in other words, this isn't his first one-night stand.

"Now it's said and done, so say goodbye to the people we don't know." refers to the act being over with goodbye being a finality. In other words, he wouldn't want to see her, the person he's singing the song to, or the one-night stands, again. "Go back to sleep and lets sail away to the beaches of Normandie" seems to imply that he wants to sleep and dream to be alone - the reasons behind this are potentially many, from being alone with his thoughts, thinking of happier times or just getting away.

"The lights are blinding my eyes." makes a reference to the sunrise or perhaps those while he's out, presumably downtown or in a club - I'd lean toward the latter since the next lines say

"Are you unhappy, I am unhappy too. Your neck smells just like her's did. Do you want someone, are you lonely too - are you?"

It almost looks like a pickup attempt, or something he's saying in his head when meeting/trying to pick up a girl. Maybe he senses she has no one, just like himself, and the fact she reminds him of someone from his past makes her that much more attractive.

"Too many secrets, too many nights, I should have called, where have I been all night?" at this point he's reminiscing of the person he still has feelings for and the things they went through. From the sound of it, he lied about where he was going in nights past while they had a relationship. He's regretting this in a way saying he should have called then answering a rhetorical question by saying "where have I been all night?"

"I gave up sleep just to find your name, you stayed home, I should have done the same." The first line implies he went out on the town looking for a girl like the one he had. In the meantime, she didn't look for anyone and, hindsight being 20/20, he wishes he too stayed home.

Overall, the song has a catchy beat. It seems like whoever is singing is tired and looking for something that he won't find while regretting the one that got away.
