i'm really suprised no one has commented on this song yet. it says what a lot of people can not and in such a beautiful way. the song sounds to me almost desperate and pleading. so, here's my outlook on it:

{to me this says that he's in a relationship with a girl who's either not exactly faithful to him, or doesn't really feel for him in the way he does for her, but to him that doesn't matter. he'd rather be lied to, bcuz the lies are what's keeping him going. he'd rather be in love with a lie than not be in love at all.}
