Prince (as far as I know still) is the youngest artist to gain a contract with RCA (at age 19) while playing ALL of the instruments on about 5 of his first albums.

If Prince wants to change the English language, that's ok with me. Personally, "Let's go Crazy" got me through my freshman year in college. I still love EVERYTHING he does.

Yes, Prince effectively invented text speak 15 years and no-one can complain if the printed lyrics are full of 4 U 2 Ur etc, but they're also full of "docter" and "flys" and "beverly hills" which are just plain wrong and things like "alrite" and "de" when no such thing is found in the original lyric sheet.
