This makes me think of an ex, and I think it might be about a similar situation.
I dated a girl who had some issues, and in the end, it became clear to me that she didn't really care for me, but instead, I was like her medication. She didn't have many other friends, so she depended on me. Then, she found new friends, and basically threw me away. She didn't need her "happy pills" anymore, so to speak. She seemed to have a penchant for drama, too. I think this is similar.
The woman he's singing to/about doesn't need him anymore. He's no longer her addiction. Her feelings for him are gone, because they were never real in the first place. And she's just creating drama. He's sick of it, but she can't get enough under her skin. She just needs more fucked up drama and is just ending up hurting him.
I could almost say that the whole album kind of tells a story about two lovers, because in a good deal of the songs, he seems to be speaking to a lover, and they seem to be going in a logical order.
