and "you should be dead and i should be dead" is "you should be king and i should be dead"
I beleive that this song is either;
A) Jimmy struggling to understand how the kids still like his music considering how old he is, he cant understand how he can still be cool in their eyes and "keeping up" with them
OR
B) Jimmy is taking the piss out of bands/people who try to keep up with the kids and fail miserably, backwards baseball caps etc
