I think I agree with Gole. Perhaps it's also from conflicting pov's, too. o.O idk, but that's how it seems.

Glow but don't shine[I agree, it's talking about not forcing it upon the people and letting them come of their own accord.] A fuse for a blueprint, devices my hands built.[I think this is kind of from God's pov, saying how the fuse is like the spark that starts the 'devices' or people that he made.] For these roads want the rain and my raincoat, drown in the flash flood.[have very little clue as to what this means, although 'flash flood' could be talking about Satan/the Devil's tirade.]

For we are alive,[as in, we will live forever. Alive.] given air and not used to alfresco.[I think this is Does the sun know that today I forgot the zeros and ones?[I actually think that maybe asking if the sun/son(as andrew LOVES wordplay) knows that the narrator forgot the 0s and 1s, or the binary code, or what makes most computers run, and comparing himself to a computer, and his spirit the program] Told you to conquer the rush and on Sunday I remembered paper beats rock.[Perhaps it's god reprimanding him and talking about conquering temptation. Paper beats rock is saying how the scripture/bible/holy spirit defeats materialistic, earthly things, and inadvertently Satan.] Reached a mile high if I reached a foot.

Leopard skin is not above or beyond him, he's no more a prince than a frog is. For these roads should not have shed for a witness, taken bites to avenge us.[agree again with gole on this verse]

For we are alive, given air and not used to alfresco. Does the sun know today I forgot the zeros and ones? Told you to conquer the rush. Sunday I remembered paper beats rock. Reached a mile high if I reached a foot.

I'm figuring out the one thing he's not is above or beyond,[I believe it's the narrator realizing that whatever he was following isn't god, or perhaps referencing the anticrhist, using 'above and beyond' as a metaphor for heaven.] And no one's passing on, taking off, or waving good-bye, for we are alive.[Nobody's dying. Everybody's living forever, in heaven. ]

Today, I forgot the zeros and ones. Told you to conquer the rush. Sunday I remembered paper beats rock. Reached a mile high if I reached a foot.

[[Actually, this song is also what makes me suspect that perhaps andrew is a closet christian. Or something. :9 It amuses me for some reason. ]]
