I think it's kind of a sarcastic play on words of the hypocrisy, conformity, and skewed moral values of modern christianity. Not so much the actual "giving oneself to the devil or evil" like everyone says on here- that's just shallow and stupid. It rather takes what is seen as good christianity and analyzes its malevolent intensions.
