But then there is the hatred of the gentry (for obvious reasons), followed by lamentations concerning his daughter, more revenge (with a slight craziness to it - "nor a hundred can assuage me"). Then there is his sorrow over Lucy follwed by a directed revenge, then supplanted by the general homicidal tendency.
