-"standing tall" might mean she's finding some resolve and courage. the white gown could imply she's marrying the guy she's involved with.

-he knows she's with the wrong man, and she's going nowhere with him quickly. (again implying marriage).

-another reason I think she's seen some reason and found some resolve (slowing down).

-he's telling her she's with the wrong person and she's placing her dreams falsely.

-im my opinion, (and some others) he doesn't say "wrong hand", he says "own hand". this may mean she's thinking of killing herself or him to get out of marrying him. i think it's more likely she's thinking of killing herself.
"Get it right this time, get it off your mind"
-he's encouraging her to just end the relationship and move on with her life.
"Let the summer rain bring you rest and shame and love"
-he wants her to find rest (peace of mind out of the relationship?) and shame for having come so close to marrying the wrong person and new love to help her past her mistakes.

-people often carve their names along with their significant others. i think it simply implies that, nothing more.

-i think the GUY she was about to marry is the one implied here. like he told her he wouldn't let go.

-a simple, but profound statement. if we harden ourselves to love, we can't be hurt either. not hurting comes at a price.

-life is full of good things and bad. bittersweet.
