this whole record is really emotional and powerful. 'on the run' is so very fitting for every song on it.
this song to me is about someone being really caught up in their dreams and they have hurt someone really close to them by being such a wanderer... but they continue to wander around in search of what they've lost and the person they hurt is now too afraid to get to close and they are "always on the run from everything and everyone." it almost seems ironic to me, and i think there's much more to it than that simple thought but it's hard to explain.
i think the bridge is someone else saying that the roaming person is the one that always lets them down and they just really want to hear them say that they want to settle down.

i didn't think it was that great of a song until i really paid attention to the lyrics and now it's one of my faves. haha enough rambling...
